- What does per-server pricing actually mean?
- You pay $14 per month for each server running VectorPanel. Each server can host unlimited websites, databases, and team members. Billing is a single subscription; adding a server just increases the quantity.
- Can I start on Free and upgrade later?
- Yes. The Free tier gives you one fully-featured server forever. Upgrade to Premium when you need multi-server management, off-site backups, or the 99.9% SLA — your existing license key carries over.
- Do you offer a discount for multiple servers?
- The per-server price is flat at $14/month up to 20 servers. For 20+ servers, reach out via the support page — we offer volume pricing for agencies and hosting companies.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Premium reverts to Free at the end of the current billing period. Your sites and data stay on your server; only Premium-only features (off-site backups, SSO, extended retention) are disabled.
- Which Linux distributions are supported?
- Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 and Debian 12 are fully supported. Rocky / AlmaLinux 9 support is in beta.
- Is there a self-hosted or open-source option?
- The VectorPanel agent and CLI are open-source (BSL-1.1). The hosted control plane and commercial features are under commercial license. Most single-server users never need to pay us a cent.
